MDAX Manager Joachim Reinhardt Appointed as New Chief Financial Officer


·   Supervisory Board decides a change of leadership in the finance unit against the background of internationalization in fashion e-commerce

·   As former CFO of Hugo Boss, Joachim Reinhardt combines international experience at Group level with competency in the area of fashion

·   Thanks to Henning Soltau who retires from the Board of D+S after more than nine commendable years with D+S

 

HAMBURG. June 29, 2009. Against the background of advancing internationalization of our business, especially in the field of fashion e-commerce, the Supervisory Board of D+S europe AG (ISIN DE0005336804), Hamburg has appointed Mr. Joachim Reinhardt to the Board of D+S europe AG as Chief Finance Officer (CFO) at its ordinary meeting with effect from July 1, 2009. Joachim Reinhardt, aged 45, who has over ten years of experience in heading the finance units of international enterprises such as Braun and Gillette, was the Chief Financial Officer of the MDAX enterprise Hugo Boss AG until end of July 2008.

 

Mr. Henning Soltau (43), who has headed the finance division of D+S europe AG since January 2000, will retire from the Board on June 30, 2009 by resolution of the Supervisory Board of today and will leave the enterprise by mutual agreement. The Supervisory Board thanks Mr. Soltau for his longtime engagement and his extraordinary performance for the benefit of the company. In 2000 Mr. Soltau already managed the initial public offer of D+S and he was instrumental in developing the company from 1,500 to about 7,000 employees at present.
