D+S merges e-commerce activities under new brand name


New Name for Europe‘s Market Leader: NETRADA – Leading Fashion E-Commerce

HAMBURG. September 9, 2009. The D+S Group is merging all its e-commerce activities under the new brand NETRADA. As of September 10, 2009 the name NETRADA will represent the comprehensive full service model of the present companies Heycom, Adamicus, Picturepark Studios, D+S payment and D+S inkasso. With more than 60 online shops in over 20 countries NETRADA will be Europe’s largest e-commerce partner in the fashion and lifestyle trade for brand enterprises such as Hugo Boss, Puma, Esprit, C&A, Falke, Görtz and Gerry Weber.

In 2007 D+S AG took over the Heycom Group, thus laying the foundation of its e-commerce segment. Since then the Group has consistently augmented its service range for online shop operation. With its subsidiary Adamicus, incorporated in 2008, the service portfolio was supplemented by online marketing. With the Group subsidiary D+S payment a platform for international payment transactions was developed. D+S inkasso handles the collection of outstanding invoices for e-commerce clients. Newly established, Picturepark Studios are a highly modern creative studio providing photography and video production for online use. Moreover, D+S extended its capacity by enlarging its logistics location in Garbsen and adding a new location in Langenhagen providing a total of over 80,000 m2.

At present, NETRADA is handling up to 80,000 parcels Europe-wide every day via its logistics centers near Hanover with about 2,000 employees. Still this year, in 2009, NETRADA will expand the reach of the services it provides to North America.
