From a shoe store to a fashion lifestyle provider in the premium sector
Görtz: Online Shop of 2009 Award Seven Months after Relaunch
HAMBURG. Oct. 5, 2009. At this year’s Wiesbaden Mail-order Congress the award “Online Shop of the Year” in the category business-to-consumer went to Görtz GmbH. This prize is awarded every year by the “Versandhausberater” industry information service and is proof of the rapid progress made by the Görtz shoe retailing chain as a fashion lifestyle provider in the premium sector.
The Görtz online shop forms part of a multi-channel strategy calling for an intelligent combination of direct and ex-store business. It was only last March that Görtz undertook a major relaunch of its shop, which is operated by NETRADA, at the same time expanding its brand portfolio by including international shoe and accessory brands such as See by Chloé, Strenesse and Kenneth Cole. The goertz.de product range now comprises over one hundred brands and some 6,000 articles. This means that the www.goertz.de online shop offers nearly the full range available from Görtz and Görtz 17.
The Görtz shop receiving the “Online Shop of the Year” award has a large number of new features and functions:
- The homepage features regularly updated topic teasers.
- There is a trend area with short clips on various trend topics.
- Topic area sets: A special set area presents suitable combinations of shoes, handbags, scarves, shirts, belts and other accessories and another trend area features new models grouped in categories such as women/men or colors. Set views can even be sent as e cards.
- Many products are presented in 360-degree perspective.
- The site’s “Mein Görtz” section shows customers their bonus points and orders, and gives access to information for campaigns and special offers.
- A store finder with entry of zip code.
